I'm disappointed that it looks like Red John is actually on the list of 7 and will be revealed only 8 episodes into the season . . . then the show is gonna jump 2 years into the future ?? There has gotta be more to this than it seems I just hope it's killer and that this season doesn't tailspin like Heroes or LOST and ruin the series as a whole
who said Red John correctly guessed the list of 7 ? Jane is just going along with Red John cause he knows who he is ... just like most episodes we the audience are guessing based on the facts presented and at the end Jane reveals who the killer is with some sort of deduction Jane is just using Red John's list of 7 to get closer and btw one of Lisbon's team is workin for Red John ... most likley Van Pelt she was the only one added to the team after Jane
In regards to the Red John voice theory. . . Every time you hear Red John's voice it's realy Simon Baker's voice (just whispered and strained). Listen carefully

Patrick Jane!!! He's the only one even close to having Red John's skills it's why Red John hasn't killed him it's why Patrick can't catch Red John there is more proof that Red John and Patrick Jane are the same person than anyone else this whole list of 7 is another Timothy Carter Reede, Bertram, and McAllister(and everyone else on the show in law enforcement) are part of this secret tyger tyger cop cult doing Red John's dirty work and survailance Red John is heavily involved with Visulize and Bret Stiles who is using thier power and influence through cop cult to aide and cover up Red John's crimes why and how was Patrick Jane allowed onto the CBI in the first place? Through Visulize he is using the cop cult to keep an eye on him when he is Patrick Jane it will b a letdown if it is a random or obscure character there will be no significance
i can't believe some people actually believe Bruno Heller when he says stuff like Red John isn't Jane or Red John Is one of the seven suspects. The whole series has been nothing but misderection. Even if jane finds out who red john is in the season 6 finale and captures or kills him we'll find out in season 7 it was not red john.
If it's someone from the list it's Partridge gotta be i suspected him after rewatching the pilot episode but dissmised it when he didn't appear again in the first season when he popped up in the season 2 finale (a red john ep written by bruno heller) my radar went off and in season 5 he showed up in two episodes(on a red john season finale ep written by bruno heller) an all my suspicions were confirmed by just the fact that Partridge is on jane's list and he's the only one the show hasn't hinted is red john everone else is either too obvious or not obvious at allI've got every season on dvd and have watched every episode at least 3 times each the more i think about it the more i'm convinced Red John is more than one person(a cult within Visulize?) and is heavily involved with Visulize (mentored by or working for Bret Stiles) 1-Stiles' knowledge of Red John 2-Red John's accomplices appear cult like 3-Visulize has members in the CBI 4-The smiley face on the barn at the Visulize farm
Red John has a connection to Jane's carni past 1-there's a reason Red John hasn't killed jane 2-maybe knows or is Jane's Dad or brother in law Danny 3- could be related to someone the Jane's ripped off 4- the knowledge of Jane's happy memory 5- Shaun Barllow seems to know a lot about red john and describes jane's dad as wicked
